The Beautiful Stirling Engine from 1816 - Now it's on your Desk
As always, Helipal is a bunch of big boy who likes interesting things, it was also why we sell helicopter in the first place. This time we brought you a interesting toy, it's called a Low Temperature Difference (LTD) Stirling Engine, teacup size. In 1916 a guy name "Robert Stirling" based on the old Air Engine design which involves Hot Air and Cold Air cycles, and created a better engine known as the "Economiser", later it was called "Stirling Engine". Stirling engine is noted for its high efficiency compared to steam engines, quiet operation, and the ease with which it can use almost any heat source. Despite it is a very good design, it has some technical down side, so it was being replaced by Electric Motors and internal combustion engines. However, Stirling Engine is such high efficiency that it worth people to look deeper, it is still being used today in the field of Submarine and Cooling Devices.
This Teacup Stirling Engine is made with high quality metal alloy and acrylic glass, you can actually see the pistons moving. It is a great gift for you and your friends to be a display in your house and office, or use it for education, it's demonstrating a simple but efficient theory about heat exchange. Just place it on any heat source like a Cup of Coffee, your Computer Monitor, TV, Laptop..... the hotter it gets, the faster it goes. We place it on our Computer Monitor, it spins all day, it's so funny watching it runs.
