On the first impression, this helicopter is low price, the packaging is somehow like a children's toy, it does not have a Gyro and the controller doesn't look as high-class as other's, on the other hand, the Heli body finishing is very good, all the details are so well painted and assembled, this is always the QC standard from Syma.
But the biggest surprise is the flying performance for this toy. It flew ABSOLTULY perfect! After you trimmed the rudder correctly on the transmitter, the helicopter will float in the air, it is so unreal, that I couldn't believe it is just a 59 dollars toy! Considering it is a Tandem Helicopter, the engineering inside is amazing. We opened the helicopter and take a look inside about the magic, we find that it was so simple and clever, the fuselage is enhanced with bone structure, that makes the helicopter very light and almost indestructible, the weight balance is just perfect, the rotor head and flybar are made with elastic plastic, the whole package is just great for any beginners. We dropped the heli from very high, and nothing was broken, amazing, isn't it?
Can a beginner like me fly it?
Yes, you can. BUT you need to have good "Right Hand" control to maintain the course of the helicopter. You may ask why this helicopter has no Gyro, but it's still fly straight? Well, I gotta explain "How the Real Helicopter Works". In real world, there is also "NO GYRO" on real helicopters, the pilot's feet is constantly adjusting the tail rotor to keep the heli's heading, it's just like we're driving a car and use our hand to control the steering wheel, we are constantly correcting the car's heading because our brain tells us to, right? Real Helicopter pilot also do this, his brain is the Gyro and he'll move the feet to control the rudder to keep the helicopter's heading. In this toy helicopter, your right hand will need to do the same thing, you need to move the right stick constantly, the process is smooth and easy. And the main point is, this helicopter is very tough and durable, great for beginners!
