What is a Flybar?
The flybar is a short, thin metal rod placed on top of the helicopter. It is part of the rotor head’s structure, usually attached with a paddle on both ends. The flybar is a stabilizer. The heavier the paddle and longer the flybar, the more stable the heli. However, you can compensate by using the high-tech 3-Axis Gyro. The onboard Helicox TG-1 3-Axis Gyro System makes the heli fly so well that it performs just like an ordinary rotor head helicopter.
Why Flybarless is better than Flybar helicopter?
Flybarless means less moving parts. That saves energy and allows you to fly 20 to 30 percent longer. But because it does not have a stabilizer bar spinning on the rotor, the heli will perform crazier than usual, thanks to the 3-Axis Gyro, it constantly monitor the movement for you, also, less parts mean less repairing. 3-Axis Gyro is very advanced technology, it was expensive and rare before, but now it's popular. Flybarless is the future of RC helicopters.

High Performance 40A Electronic Speed Controller
STORM 40A Electronic Speed Controller is the best ESC in its class. It offers extremely high output current that provide enough power for the brushless motor so that it is perfect for aggressive 3D action. It is equipped with switching mode BEC that provides stable current to the high sensitive receiver and ultra high speed servos. Besides it is very high performance, it is very high in efficiency that requires very low power consumption. Low working temperature design increases the life cycle as well.

Helicox TG-1 3-Axis Gyro - built to fight the Giant
It worth extra words to talk about this Gyro. The TG-1 is made by our friend who is a Aerodynamic Engineer from the China National Space Administration (Yep, they make real airplanes), he is an expert in electronics and Maths., and he flies Helicopters too! Who can beat this guy when we talk about making a Gyro? He said he used the same sensor as the famous German 3D Gyro, but he did not clone the programming, he analyzed that German gyro and re-write them, he optimized the performance, so in short the TG-1 would work better than the competitor, it's really something, isn't it? We gave the TG-1 to some China's best 3D pilots and the Hong Kong F3C champion, they said it's great! That's all we need to hear about, we have make one great product! In the following video you can see the swashplate is trying to stay leveled, no matter how we move the heli frame.

EMAX ES08MD Digital Metal Gear Servo - Well picked servos for the Cyclic
For flybarless helis, the Gyro is constantly sending signal to the cyclic servos to make the heli stable, the better the servos, the more stable flight you get. Digital servo has higher working frequency than Analog servo, in another word Digital Servo responds faster. We picked the ES08MD servo for the Storm 450 3G Value Edition because it has the best value and best performance, and look at the photos below, all gears are metal, this is serious stuff!
