Heli arrived to United Stated very quickly and damage free :)
I ordered my package with extra blades, batteries and a case.
The batteries:
are bigger and dont fit into the body well and must be forced. They have a higher discharge rate but the larger size makes them a pain because you have to force it in and force the door closed.
Keep in mind these are from storm and not from Walkera
The Blades:
are Harden, and are smaller. They seem to be stronger but when installed the heli had almost no lift.... Im at 7500ft altitude and the heli would only fly about a foot off of the ground. Now heli is grounded until factory blades arrive.
The stock items from Walkera seem superior. Dont waste your time with less lift of Storm Harden Blades if your into top performance or your above 5000ft elevation. Alot more counter torque needed too, Making weak tail gears wear faster!
The case is good for the price. Worth it.
The Heli has some durability issues mentioned below so order spare parts from walkera right away to avoid down time. Gears, blades, Tail stabilzer. Screw set is very handy as well.
One review below states you must remove body to change main gear, This is not needed and can be changed with a long pin driver and a pair of needle nose plyers very quickly by removing pin and disconnecting arms from servo to remove main shaft. Pull gear from side and replace with new one. :) ...

This is not eaxactly a review, more of a question to be honest.
The walkera facebook page doesnt reply to questions so i ll try here.
I have tried several coaxial helis, mini toys and lama3 alike.
I found em both very stable to hover inside my room or outside with little or no air and i kinda like this stability in hovering.
I think i m ready to move on ,so i ve read that the cb180d or cb180z is the next logical step.
I ve watched many videos and i m impressed. The real question is: is this stability for real? i mean is it that stable as advertised? i live in a village and its not easy to get spare parts other than internet deliveries that takes time.
I need something that flies out of the box, doesnt require a lot of balancing and microadjustments (except from the traditional ones) and doesnt require a pilot's degree...
My retailer says that its a good choice for me that i m tierd of lamas n coaxials but to be honest i dont really trust him as he is trying to sell me anything he has stocked regardless my piloting skill. (i was about to buy a 3d nitro once, 2 months ago)
I m piloting toys n lama3 for 8 months now. i m good at hovering and i m good at stable flights with my lama (both indoors n outdoors) i just need something extra, but i need to take small steps every time as i lack confidence.
Cost is not a problem in order to get stability and minimise crashes. i prefer to pay 300euro and crash 2-3 times per months, than pay 100 and crash every day.
Like i said cost is not a problem, repairing time is my main issue that needs to be kept at minimum.
Please excuse my long drama, any answer will be greatly appricated. Thank you in advance.
Consider me a newcommer (n00b) to this fine sport ...

Now, when I made over 100 flights, I can make a review. This heli is just amazing:) It does what it says- easy to fly and feels like a pro. Main gear pin came out after about 10 flights and hub pin after another 10. Heli dropped from aprox 5m and all I had broken is 1 blade, could not be more happy. Nevermind the pins, you can cut some thicker piano wire, still 5 stars for agility and the best customer service I ever had. Well done:) ...

After you learn to fly a coaxial like the excellent 5#10, this is the next heli you have to get. It's big and as a result it's slow which makes the transition to a variable pitch tail rotor much simpler. If you try to fly one of the smaller tail rotor helis you'll crash it almost instantly because they move so fast. The other major win for this heli is that the main rotor is fixed pitch. When you get really good you can move to a collective pitch heli which means that the main rotor is variable pitch. A collective system adds a whole new level of complexity to flying the heli that you will not want in making the transition from coax to tail rotor.
Out of the box this heli has all the usual Walkera niceness like metal parts where they are important and an excellent brushless motor. On receiving it, I checked everything over and tightened a few screws here and there just to be sure everything was sound. Then before I ever tried to have it lift off I very carefully adjusted the swashplate. Setting the swashplate will make a huge difference in your learning and flying. If the adjustments are off even by one turn of the adjusters it's harder to fly because you have to compensate at the remote.
To adjust the swashplate, I increase the throttle slowly and watch which way the heli pitches if any. If it doesn't try to fly left, right, forward or back and is just centered, the swashplate settings are correct. If it tries to go left or right or whatever, adjust the ball linkages until the same test has it basically centered on lift off. Doing it by sight like the manual says is a good start, but the actual flight level adjustment is the key factor. Do this first before you try to fly it. It takes maybe 30 minutes total to get it adjusted max and makes a huge difference in flight and learning.
When you order this heli, be sure to get an extra main gear and a set of tail rotor gears. In the likely event that you crash when first learning, if the main rotor or tail rotor hits anything the plastic gears are very likely going to strip or break. I have never crashed and not had the tail rotor or main rotor strike and every time the gears either stripped a little, totally or broke. Sometimes if the gears just strip a little you can still fly but it's noisy. Having spares on hand along with a spare tail drive shaft will cover you for most issues so get those. A set of spare landing gear is also not a bad idea in case you drop it from the sky.
I happened to buy a Walkera 2801 Pro transmitter and I have to recommend that as well. You can program up to 8 helis into this one remote and it allows you to make many fine tuning adjustments. If you're going to do just one heli then certainly buy one that comes with a remote, but if you plan to get into Walkera the 2801 is a must along with a really good LiPo charger.
I think this heli is an excellent Walkera transition from coax to tail rotor and I recommend it. After adjusting it flies great and is slow enough to quickly build your confidence. Once you're able to handle this machine, you'll be getting closer to 3D and maybe even Nitro if you so choose. As always Helipal support and speed of service has been excellent. I continue to highly recommend Helipal as well. ...

Be aware that they are coming with the engine screw loose!
Tight the engine screws before the first flight to avoid further damages. Helipal didn't noticed that on mine, if they really tested it!
Apart of this production mistake, the 180Z can hover almost by itself and though it feels slow, it's forgiving and very easy to fly.
Perfect for beginners like me, that had previous experience only with micro coaxial toys. It feels just like a micro coaxial toy heli but with a lot more power and size.
Some friends went for the normal UFLY (not the new S version) instead but are having a hard time learning to hover it. Don't know how the UFLY-S behave yet.
But if you want to learn to fly having fun instead of stress, this is your bird.
As some say about the UFLY, mine 180Z also worn the tail gear very quickly! Get yourself a few replacement parts to avoid waiting with the heli grounded. ...
