Dear sir,
Actually, I would say yes and no for your concerns.
For the Yes part, it is using a parrllel method to charge the batteries, and it will not have good results as a Balance Charge does.
For the No part, this cable is safe to use, but it would have to base on 3 things :
1. Please adjust the current no larger than the batteries capacity :
e.g., for 1000mah batteries, please use 1A to charge, for 500mah batteries, please use 0.5A to charge.
2. Please make sure all batteries are same capacity.
3. The Li-Po Charger needs to have a function that will automatically decrease current when it sense the batteries are almost full, that means when charging 500mah battereis, you set 0.5A to charge at first, then it will slowly decrease to around 0.1A and stop to protect the batteries. Like our GE B6 or IMAX Li-Po charger, they have this function. Just don't use stock Walkera or ESKY charger will be fine.
If you base on this 3 things, the cable will do the job.

T hat's NOT the proper way to do that! Using this you're just connecting 1-5 cells in parallel. That's a very bad, inefficient and possibly dangerous way to charge Li-Po cells. This whole setup will be "seen" as a one 1SxP pack without a balancer connection. This DOESN'T MAKE USE OF ANY OF THE BALANCING FEATURES of the charger. The charger will be completely unaware of the various capacities and charge levels of the connected cells and will (hopefully!) just stop charging as soon as the lowest capacity / highest charge cell reaches its treshold voltage. Then, the cells will be charging (and possibly overcharging!) each other as long as they are connected to that thing. Instead, it should be done connecting each cell SEPARATELY to separate balancing channels of the charger, possibly using this: _a href="http://www.helipal.com/multi-charging-cable-for-l i-po-charger.html"_www.helipal.com/multi-charging-cable -for-li-po-charger.html_/a_. This way, the charger would treat the whole setup like a x-cell pack with a balancer plug.
Once more: this is JUST WRONG!. DON'T buy this thing unless they redesign it the proper way if you don't want to run into trouble. ...
